http://www.fondazionelevi.org/foresteria.html - this place is very close to the Accademia Gallery and to the water bus stops (on the other side of the Accademia - with 2 c's) bridge. Unfortunately the site isn't in English. If you ask for info in English they'll respond in English.

http://www.ciliota.it/chisiamo_ing.htm - this place is also close to the Accademia and just a 10 minute walk to Saint Mark's square. It's run by the local church. The rooms are comfy.... and there is a nice court year. Only pblm here is that there is a curfew.

pretty good plot but VERY CONFUSING TO READ! i had no idea who was telling the story. you keep switching back and forth between first person and omniscent. pick one! either use the all knowing narrorator or pick a character to tell the strory. first you start out with omniscent then it switches to priscilla then back to omniscent and it keeps going back and forth and for all i know other people were narrorating it throughout the story as well. figure out who's telling the story and then edit it and i'd be happy to tell you my thoughts again. i hope i wasn't too harsh but it is a big problem. it is a pretty good story, it's just hard to understand.

Yes, 2 hours and 25 minutes is enough time. LAX does have shuttle buses that will shuttle you between terminals. You can walk but I would recommend taking the shuttle bus.

China Air and US Airways are code-share partners within the Star Alliance. You can earn US Airways miles on your China Air flight.

Your bags should check all the way to your final destination so don't go to baggage claim.

Make sure you check-in as soon as possible. I am flying Singapore Airlines and connecting in San Francisco. The customer service agent at Singapore Airlines told me to check in 3 and a half hours before my flight. I told him that my connection is less than 3 hours. He then told me that the ticket counter closes 1 hour before departure. So I recommend that you check in as soon as possible. Security should not be any different for international than domestic. Just show a picture id and your boarding pass.

No need to go through customs until you arrive at Beijing.

Enjoy your trip and make sure you bring your visa. China does not use passports but visas.

A lot of airlines have weekly or weekend specials. Delta has a weekend special every week where you flight out on a Saturday and return either on a Monday or Tuesday.

Where you are flying to as well as when you are flying will make a difference. If you book a ticket 7 days before your trip, it is unlikely you will get a cheap ticket. As for booking in the morning or at night, there is no difference.

Check out alternative airports. For example, Cincinnati tends to have higher airfare than the rest of the country. So what we do is look at flights departing from Dayton, Columbus, Indianapolis and Louisville. We end up saving a few hundred dollars per ticket.

I've never stayed there but the price is very good for a hotel in such am excellent location.

I've just been reading the reviews on Trip Adivisor and they are decidedly mixed.( http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g187147-d495937-r12164036-Hotel_du_Commerce-Paris_Ile_de_France.html#TOPC)

However, I note that even hotels that I am familiar with and like very much often receive utterly horrid reviews and, quite frankly, I take them with a grain of salt. When someone complains that an inexpensive hotel in Paris doesn't have an elevator or is in an old building then I know that the author is a moron. I suggest you read the reviews and form your own opinion.

Carnival cruise line is the cheapest, and that's where we started. We have not even thought of changing to another line yet. Maybe some day. It's a fun ship and we are totally satisfied. The Imagination usually has a 5 day going to Grand turks, Half Moon Cay (Carnivals beautiful private island.) and Nassau. A couple of days at sea which are really fun. This ship has recently been refurbished and there are no bugs. It's a smaller ship but if you've never cruised before it will be huge to you. I like it better than the bigger ships and have experienced both. We learned to snorkel at Grand Turks and really love it. It's a place where you don't need to spend money on a excursion cuz the beach is right there by the pier and you can snorkel right there. The Carnival Imagination is a great first cruise for you. You'll be hooked. Go with a travel Agent. the price of the cruise in the brochure is what the travel agent charges too. They get paid by the cruiseline, not you. They have no reason to lie to you. If you call the cruise line direct you'll get some person working for that cruise line at there own home who will tell you whatever they need to to get the sale. Book your own flight if you have one. The cruiseline charges $150 above the airfare to do this for you. Pay the down payment to your Travel agent and don't pay off the total amount of the cruise until you have to in case there's a price drop. If the cruiseline drops the price your Travel agent can get you the differance back to you. If your paid in full you can't get that. Do it like the layaway plan. A little here and a little there. You won't even miss the money if you book far enough in advance and pay a little along and along. There's no hidden charges so don't worry about that. You need a passport, and you'll be charged on a credit card for alcoholic drinks, $10 per day per person for a tip to the staff (you'll be glad to do this, they bust there a$$ for you) or anything else you buy on the ship. Don't drink the soft drinks or water in your cabin cuz it's very expensive. Don't even bother with the formal dining rooms if you don't want to. The Lido deck buffet is wonderful and you won't be disappointed that you didn't go dress up. Who needs a new fork with every plate anyway? A good place to research anything you could possibly have any questions with is cruiscritic .com. It's free. become a member and find your whole new world. Have fun on your cruise.
