That’s amazing! It always seem easier to draw on the computer then on paper. Really now, to color like that makes me curious, though everyone’s style of art is different.

If you are looking for a tax break, definately buy a house, make payments on it and rent it out (even as a vacation home). I'd go with a fixed interest only payment (not a neg am-option arm). Even on 15 & 30 year fixed loans, you are mainly paying interest for the first 3-5 years.

When you become a landlord, there are many tax deductions that you can use as tax breaks. I'm not a CPA, but I am a R.E. Investor. So if it is truly a tax break you are looking for, GO FOR IT!!

Better is probably relative, and depends on what one expects or finds at either park, to enjoy. Universal is a bit more compact but no less stimulating.

Cheaper is also relative, and is true if only in pennies difference. Since the 3 majors are withing a few miles of each other, and all competing for YOUR $$$, they pretty much regulate costs to stay similar. Certainly it wouldn't surprise me to know that the 3 CEO's Golf together and share some strategies.

At the moment Mardi Gras is the biggie at th "U".

This is Florida, no offense, Best Time To Go, has no real correlation to seasons. Summer is more for the locals, but the parks, ALL of them can see 200,000 people per day, every day.

Are there still "Travel Agents"??? If so they must have second jobs. Save on park tickets: If you purchase multi day passes you get a minor break, but to expect that Santa exists handing out cheap admissions is likely to be a disappointment. One thing you should research is "Packages" relating to air/car/hotel/admissions.

I think most who are guests of any attraction, young or old, have a purpose in going, beyond their age, and who wouldn't be as excited as a child at a theme park such as we have, rather than a couple hours at a Chucky Cheese.

Boy someone gave you bad advice. Do not show up and expect a cheaper room. The opposite is true, showing up is more likely to be more expensive or sold out. If it is touristy like you say, then all the more likely it will be booked. If you are standing there at their front desk with luggage and far, far from home, the hotel knows they usually can dictate the price. And by the time your honeymoon comes around, you will be happy to have all the details taken care of.

Sometimes waiting a bit will help. If they aren't booking as fast as they like, or have a sale. Especially on line. So depending on how far off the trip is, you could take a chance and keep checking and checking. But it is a risk too, AND NOT leaving it until you show up.

You have researched prices. Give them a call. Ask availability, then ask the price. Let them know you are booking your honeymoon, and ask if there are any specials or cheaper rates. The main tip for getting better rates is calling and asking for a better rate.

The Eurorail passes do not gurantee seats on trains. On most fast trains, international trains, and night trains, you will have to make a reservation (on many trains it's mandatory) and pay an additional fee to get on the train.

You don't have to have a reservation or pay an additional fee for the slow regional trains. On some trains, reservations are optional. In that case, you could get on the train and sit in a seat that has not been reserved. There are fewer of these trains now though. Here in Italy, that only applies to the Intercity trains. The faster ES and AV trains require you to have a reservation and there's a substantial fine if you don't have one before getting on the train.

Tickets cannot be purchased by third parties using a credit card on the German train website.

I think you've done your homework and pretty much found the best round-trip price for airfare.
SURELY there'd be someone you know up here that'd have a spare bedroom for you while you're here, not to mention an extra car for you to borrow, although rental cars (do NOT even THINK of renting one from the airport location…) are really not that expensive. (About $50/weekend plus tax from Budget, Kempt Rd. Halifax)

Good luck and hope you have a great time here in NS!

(Karen- I'd be VERY curious as well on which airline Baby AK will fly here for $79 + fees)

I've stayed in hostels many times in many places – new zealand, thailand, eire, spain, england …
I've mostly been with my partner so we've booked a double room, except once with my daughter when we were in a dorm-style room with 4 other people
there's usually a range of options at hostels, double rooms, occasionally single rooms as well as dorm-style rooms, and sometimes they have en-suite facilities too
the ones I've been in have all been very safe and very friendly – if you're in a dorm-style room there's usually a locker for you to store your things so take your own padlock with you
a big advantage is that usually they have cooking facilities that you can use which keeps the cost of your holiday down, as well as meaning that you can eat what you want
by the way, I'm in my 60's, and hostels aren't just for young back-packers
go for it – I highly recommend it, and it's a great way to meet other travellers and make friends
